Relationships

One of the small blessings with finally getting a diagnosis of Alpha1 Antitrypsin Deficiency is that those in your life will now understand that you are not a hypochondriac! So many individuals with AATD relationships become strained when someone always feels sick. In the past, the undiagnosed Alpha may have been told there is nothing wrong when in fact, a deadly, devastating disease is within their body begging for the proper treatment to stop the attack on their body and souls!

Our Foundation will work every day to keep relationships with family and friends strong by helping explain what has been going on inside of an Alpha life with this disease.
